Be STRONG in the Lord and the power of His might.

Our family desire is to be like a lamp on a lampstand shining forth for Christ. We pray that we can be a witness to those who don't know the Lord and an encouragement and blessing to those who do. Thank you for visiting the Strong family blog.

Boys in the Tub

Crooked crazy smile!
Bubble smile!

Bearded Maddeck.

Here are some recent pictures of the boys during bath time. Cuties!!! They are really beginning to love playing together. Maddeck always says "come on Ev" and Evan drops whatever it is that he is doing and chases after Maddeck. Evan is very active and needs to be buckled down if he is sitting in a high chair or he will literally jump out. He has already dove out of his crib and is constantly being pulled down off the table and chairs. He climbs anything and everything. I hurt my back last week lifting Evan. I think my back is having trouble because I am hugely pregnant but also because I am almost constantly lifting and pulling Evan off furniture and he is heavy! I am already counting down the days until our new baby boy arrives. 62 more days until my due date!!

Rod & Staff

We ordered Maddeck the preschool curriculum by Rod and Staff Publishing. I am really happy with it so far and Maddeck loves his school time. We have been doing school during the morning while Evan naps. I am able to have my quiet time reading and praying while I assist him with his school work at the dining room table. I hope Maddeck stays enthusiastic about everything as we continue on. There is a lot of material and it should keep him busy and learning for quite awhile. He asked if he could do his school tomorrow, but I had to remind him that it was Saturday and we don't need to have school on the weekends (at least not yet ... he will have plenty of weekends in his life filled with schoolwork). We chose the curriculum because several moms that we know and trust have used the books with their own children. The books were also really affordable, so it made the decision even easier. The books are a jump start for him as we also are considering preschool in the fall. Can't believe he is going to be 4 in just over a month!!

Fun new things

Here are some pics of the boys with a couple of fun new things from Christmas.
Monster tent from cousins Ella and Romy.
Maddeck can wink!
New Puma shirt from Caed.

Elefun - Elephant that shoots butterflies out of the trunk. Evan giggles and then picks up butterflies from the floor and puts them into his net. It is pretty fun. Kyle played with the boys and stood right by the trunk and caught so many butterflies, hardly any dropped to the floor for the boys. Little cheater! This game was our gift to the boys.

Yum!

Cute Boy

Finishing off the eggnog

Here are some pictures of the boys as we finished off the eggnog with our morning coffee. Eggnog lattes are so tasty (aka decaf drip with steamed eggnog).
We had the Wilkinsons over for our Christmas time with them and put some of the eggnog into our homemade pancakes. It was a great touch. I wish I would have taken some cute pictures of the boys but I didn't want to take them away from their play time for photos. They had so much fun playing together. Evan received his Christmas gift from Maddeck with a huge bonk on the head. It looks so bad right after it happened because it swelled up so much. We didn't see it happen but Caed told us that Maddeck pushed him and he fell into the door frame in their room. Evan got over it really quickly and it hasn't seemed to bother him since. He got a lot of recognition at church for his little wound though.

The boys in their matching Billabong shirts that Maddeck picked out.

Sweet Caedmon opening his matchbox cars.

Maddeck getting ready to open his gift from Caed.
