Be STRONG in the Lord and the power of His might.
Our family desire is to be like a lamp on a lampstand shining forth for Christ. We pray that we can be a witness to those who don't know the Lord and an encouragement and blessing to those who do. Thank you for visiting the Strong family blog.

Discovery
Oh the joy of living with a 3 year old ... constant discovery. I sat down at the computer desk and saw ear plugs lining the base of our table lamp. I left them there most of the day because I just thought it was so funny and odd for him to first of all, find the earplugs, and then to put them on the lamp as if it were a work of art. Maddeck is playing more independently now and loves to have pretend conversations with his toys. Example: The race car says "where are you going?" and the dump truck says "hurry or we will be late". I love to just sit and listen to him play and imagine. The weather has been nice and it has been great to let the boys go outside. Maddeck needs to be able to burn some energy! He can run pretty fast now. He also loves to ride his bikes and scooters in the driveway.

Maddeck Quotes
Maddeck: Cows make milk.
Mom: Yes they do.
Maddeck: When I see a cow I will say "thank you for making milk cow" and the cow will say ... "sure". Then I will pet the cow and say "bye cow" and then we can go home. Does that sound like a deal Mom?
Mom: I love you Maddeck. (What else can you really say?)
You would think that he would know how to say this one since G'ma Cindi has one.
Maddeck: Look a rotorhome (motorhome).
Mom: Yes they do.

Easter
Mimi and Maddeck
G'ma Cindi and Maddeck
Aunt Elisa and Ev

Talking to Uncle Steve about AZ and the waterslide he is going to take him on at the resort pool.
Here are some photos taken on Easter weekend. Maddeck went shopping with Aunt Jesica and G'ma Cindi for wedding shoes on Saturday and we had a little fashion show to choose what outfit he should wear for the wedding. He is the ring bearer and we are hoping that he will do well and be able to walk down the aisle without getting too scared. He doesn't like being in the spotlight unless it is with people he knows well and in a place that he is familiar with. Since we are arriving in Tucson a few days before the wedding, he should be used to the resort and ready to rock it. Maddeck had a fun weekend with family and enjoyed opening all the goodies that G'ma gave him in his Easter basket. We enjoyed Easter worship at our church and spending the afternoon with my family and Aunt Julie on Sunday evening.

Rollin'
Yesterday Evan decided it was time to roll from his back to his belly. He has been rolling from his belly to back since he was 13 days old. I am so excited for his new skill. He will be able to stay comfortable for his naps and bedtime now that he has more mobility. Way to go Ev!

AutoMaddeck & Evanator

Our little tykes are sick with colds. They are sneezing and snarfy. Maddeck is excellent at blowing his nose so he is sleeping fine. Evan is a mess and can't sleep. We skipped church yesterday after having a long night with the boys. After Evan missed his morning nap, we decided to take a nice long drive to allow him to sleep. We went to Lake Chelan and it was beautiful. We went to the park and Maddeck played a little bit. He was happy just sitting in the swing. He would have stayed in the swing for hours but it was time for lunch and another nap for Evan. We went to Lakside Drive-In and got some food and headed back home. We drove the Douglas County side of the Columbia River home and it was simply georgous. I love where we live. The boys went right to sleep and sawed logs even after being transferred from the carseats to their beds when we got home. Thursday, April 2, 2009
Good Morning
Here are some videos and pictures of Maddeck and Evan yesterday morning. Maddeck is still loving his morning coffee although he doesn't ask for it as much as he used to. Evan is still enjoying his appetite for solid foods. I, of course, still enjoy being at home with my boys everyday. What a privilage it is to be entrusted with the care of childrearing. There is no greater calling for me than to serve my family. I have been doing a book study with two of my girlfriends. I have been so encouraged especially in the day-to-day tasks at home. A few verses (Proverbs 31:17&28) that I am reminded of ... "She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks ... She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." These words are such a nice reminder of how I can work diligently at home to bless my family.
