Be STRONG in the Lord and the power of His might.

Our family desire is to be like a lamp on a lampstand shining forth for Christ. We pray that we can be a witness to those who don't know the Lord and an encouragement and blessing to those who do. Thank you for visiting the Strong family blog.

The boys

Dentist

Maddeck at the dentist.  He got a hot chocolate from the dentist after his appointment.

Crafting

Thursday crafting is the new thing I am trying with the boys.  I would like to get in the habit of having school time and craft time with the boys on Tuesday and/or Thursday, as those are the days that Maddeck is home from school.  For Christmas Keri and Adam got the boys a giant craft box with all kinds of projects for them to do.  Although I won't use the box all the time, it was a great starting point to get in the routine.  They chose to do tissue paper art.  It was a perfect craft for Ev as the papers were cut to size and could be applied to a sticky picture without the use of glue.  Both boys loved working on it and were completely capable.  Maddeck did a car and Evan did a fish.  They scrunched up the tissue paper and applied it to the picture in sections.  Tissue paper is fun!!

Funny Stuff

Miles is getting more active and more fun to horse around with.  He loves climbing all over us and wrestling with his brothers.  He is starting to stand unaided.  I counted as he stood alone for about 30 seconds.  If he is like Maddeck, he will try walking sometime soon and fall until he figures it out.  If he is like Evan, he will be able to stand for several minutes but won't attempt real walking until he is good and stable.  Miles loves to laugh, eat, and most recently nod his head yes.  He recently started throwing food and spitting out his food to see what will happen.  He got a little slap on the hand and he turned his head away from us and threw a five minute screaming tantrum.

Dad

I tried to deny it, but Miles' first word is definitely Da-Da (not Ma Ma).  He says it when he comes home from work.  This morning I was holding him and we walked into the bathroom where Kyle was getting ready for work and he said "Da Da Da".

Waving

Miles has been waving for a couple weeks.  I think he likes to go places.  Almost every time I pick him up he starts waving like it is time to go somewhere.
